MUFA flat belly diet philosophy
Substituting stuffed olives for salty chips

Potato chips definitely aren’t a diet food. But sometimes it is hard to resist having the salty side dish while enjoying a sandwich. I especially like chips when eating a tuna or ham sandwich. Of course, if you are counting calories it is possible to slip in a few chips, and still stay on track.

But let’s face it, even if we can manage the calories, chips are not the healthiest of snacks. I don’t know about the rest of you, but that “bet you can’t eat just one” chip mantra can sabotage the best diet intentions.

There is a salty snack solution, and one that is actually promoted by those MUFA diet gurus. Of the five foods recommended to add to your daily meals, olives made the list. 10 olives are considered a serving, according to the guidelines given by Prevention Magazine.

So, instead of adding chips as a side dish to your sandwich, try 10 green olives. Not only will you get your salty snack fix, it will also battle the belly fat war!
